Cypress Appoints Mark and Karen Reed as General Managers of Operations for EMEA
Duo will represent Cypress and Peter Reed Linens in Europe, Middle East and Africa

Sheffield, Mass. — May, 2009 — Cypress, the leading designer and manufacturer of luxurious bathrobes, towels, slippers, and sheets for the hospitality and spa industry for over a quarter of a century, today announced the appointments of Mark and Karen Reed as General Managers of Operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Having been purveyors of luxury linens to many of the finest hotels and resorts in the world for over 25 years, the Reeds bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their new role at Cypress. Headquartered in South Africa and the United Kingdom, the Reeds will be responsible for representing all Cypress products to the hospitality market in the EMEA region.

The Reed family has over five generations of textile and weaving entrepreneurship, making fine bed linens for British royalty and other discerning clients since their inception in Lancashire England in 1852. Reed Family Linens recently partnered with Cypress to better meet the needs of their mutual hotel industry clientele.

In their new positions with Cypress, Mark and Karen’s responsibilities include covering the EMEA sales territories, as well as recruiting, building, training, and leading the existing Cypress international sales force. Their successful abilities to build strong customer relationships, analyze markets, and develop and implement business plans were prerequisites to Faul’s decision.
